Western Railway to introduce automatic door-closing system in non-AC local trains on a trial basis

More than four years after toying with the idea of introduction automatic door closing system in the non-AC local trains in Mumbai, the Western Railway is ready with the design. Mirror reveals exclusive photos of the door and the control panels, which have been installed in a few compartments of one of the15-coach trains. The trials began last night, and the system will be operational from this Weekend, during non-peak hours to begin with.
