Election

Registration of voters is a continuous process.

All Indian Citizens who will be 18 years of age (or above) on 1st January 2024, should register themselves as Voters for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, in case they haven’t already done so.

This also includes Persons with Disabilities, as well as those who are in the category of Third Gender.

For the ease of All Voters, the ECI has launched special apps. Through these apps you can search your name in the electoral roll, submit forms, make complaints, and most importantly see the real-time results of the elections. To know more about these apps and their features click here.

The Voter Helpline Mobile application is available on both the Google Play Store: download here and Apple App Store: download here.

For Voters with Disabilities, the ECI has launched a special app called ‘Saksham’. To know more about the app and its features, and to download it, click here.

The Know Your Candidate (KYC) app is a special app for voters who want to know more about the candidates contesting elections. To know more about the app and its features, and to download it, click here.

The ECI has launched a special app called ‘Voter Turnout’ that displays the approximate voter turnout percentage for each state, district, and constituency.

To combat electoral malpractices, the ECI has launched an app known as cVIGIL, which all Citizens can use to report any violations.
To download and install cVIGIL app click on either Google Play store or Apple store

The Final Electoral Rolls has already been published as on 22nd January, 2024, please note no further changes or additions can be done.

Please note: The Electoral Rolls are now frozen, and only those whose names appear in the Rolls will be able to Vote. (The Electoral roles are frozen 10 days before the last date of filling nominations.)

Therefore, even if you are already registered, it is very important for you to check if your name and correct details are on the Final Electoral Rolls.

Please note that simply possessing a Voter ID Photo Card does not mean that you can vote! Your NAME MUST BE ON the Electoral (Voter) Roll, if it’s not there, you will NOT be able to vote.
