Thane stn will have only 7 access points

The Central Railway is planning to control the entry and exits point of Thane railway station for enhanced security. It plans to reduce the existing 24 entry and exit points to seven – four on the west side and three on the east side of the station. Thane is the busiest station in the CR suburban section and witnesses a daily footfall of over six lakh. The project will cost the railways Rs 27 lakh.
