Parking crackdown: On Day 2, BMC rakes in Rs 1.7 lakh in penalties

Mumbai: Continuing its action against illegally parked vehicles within a 500m-radius of public parking lots, the BMC towed away 35 cars, 42 bikes and three autos on Monday. Many of the offenders paid the steep penalty to get their vehicles released, leading to the civic body raking in Rs 1.7 lakh.
