Mumbai to have 26 of 138 fast-track courts for women’s safety

Mumbai: The state government will set up 138 fast-track courts across the state under the centrallysponsored national mission for safety of women, for time-bound disposal of pending cases of atrocities against women and cases registered under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. As per official records, 30,000 cases of atrocities against women are pending in the state.
