Mounted police to ride into Mumbai next year

Six horses have been procured from the Mahalaxmi Racecourse for Rs 50,000 each; 25 cops undergoing training in Pune.

Mumbaikars will soon be seeing the daunting sight of policemen charging at them riding horses. After a gap of almost 90 years, Mumbai Police is set to get its own mounted police unit.
