Maharashtra traffic department tweaks app, lets offenders pay latest e-challan fine

Mumbai: With more than 63 lakh unpaid echallans, the state traffic department has come up with a new tack to make offenders shell out pending fines. The traffic department’s app is being tweaked to allow motorists to pay just the latest penalty amount. Earlier they were required to clear the entire backlog of pending challans as well.
