Eastern Freeway extension: MMRDA to appoint consultant

Mumbai: The extension of the Easter Freeway to the north till Thane, and south till the GEneral Post Office, will be explored by Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). Urban Development minister Eknath Shinde said MMRDA will appoint a consultant to understand the various challenges and the feasibility of extending the freeway from Mankhurd to Saket, Thane.
