Central Railway to focus on collection of plastic waste from premises

Mumbai: The railways will focus on ‘collection of plastic waste’ on September 17 as part of the ongoing cleanliness drive.

Central Railway will create awareness campaigns for creating impact against plastic: vendors to be educated not to use plastic due to single use plastic ban in force in Maharashtra; replacements / substitutes for plastic items to be displayed and distribution of cloth bags, etc. are being done to create awareness.
