Candidate spend: Rs 5 for a topi, Rs 12 for a vada pav, Rs 200 for a bouquet

Mumbai: Rs 11 for a cup of tea, Rs 5 for a topi, Rs 12 for a vada pav. That’s the most a candidate can spend for the upcoming assembly elections in the country.

The election commission has capped the expenditure limit for each candidate at Rs 28 lakh while resisting demands to raise it.
