BMC to increase COVID-19 testing capacity by 1,200 a day: setting up dedicated labs for RT-PCR tests

Civic body begins work on setting up dedicated labs for RT-PCT tests at Sion, Cooper and Nair hosptials.

The BMC has begun work on increasing its Covid-19 testing capacity by 1,200 tests a day by setting up dedicated labs for Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RTPCR) tests at three of the hospitals it runs – Sion, Cooper and Nair. BMC Officials told Mirror on Tuesday that a work order for new machines has been submitted.
