BEST’s women-only buses to hit road soon
Mumbai: BEST administration has received three of 37 Tejaswini buses, which will be deployed exclusively for women within 15 days.
A BEST official said,”We not run a ladies special double-decker bus between CSMT-NCPA. But the women workforce has increased, which includes students.” As per the 2011 census, the percentage of female work participation stood at 18.8% in the island city and 18.3% in the suburbs.
