Mumbai: For 34-year-old accounts professional Mihir Japee, the bus has been the swiftest and safest mode of travel to his Andheri East office from home in Bhandup for the past four years. There’s no direct train connction the two areas in the eastern and western suburbs and riding a bike 12 km in one direction alone is a nightmare. Now, there’s one more reason for him to stick to BEST: Rs 6,000 in annual saving as fare cuts are likely to be implemented this week.
