BEST boosts BMC drive to decongest Mumbai’s strets; parking rates for school and private buses at depots halved
A 12-hour-a-day monthly pass will now cost Rs 2,000, down from Rs 5,000 earlier.
The BMC has more than halved its parking rates at BEST depots for school and private bus operators to prevent them from parking their vehicles on roads.
The latest move, culmination of days of talks with the Mumbai Bus Malak Sanghatana (MBMS), will help in decongesting the city’s roads and help BEST buses cover more distance per hour.
