BEST AC buses to connect stations to hospitals

Mumbai: BEST will introduce AC mini-buses for hospital patients and relatives. It launched the A-217 route on Wednesday from Dadar station (E) to KEM. The buses attracted scrores of passengers, especially kin of patients, said an official. “Commuters are happy as they don’t have to pay exorbitant taxi fares. They can get a comfortable ride for Rs 6 for 5km,” the official said. BEST plans buses to LTMG hospital in Sion, Nair hospital in Mumbai Central and JJ Hospital in Byculla, Sources said.
