Ban hoardings at junctions across city: Police to Mumbai civic body

Are large advertisement hoardings taking your eyes off the road? The Mumbai traffic police department thinks so. It has written to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), asking it to cancel permissions of hoardings within a 25-metre radius of every junction across the city. The traffic police’s letter said the hoardings block traffic signs and signals, and could be a safety hazard for motorists.
