10-day total lockdown in Thane city, Mira-Bhayandar and Kalyan-Dombivali

Thane city and Kalyan-Dombivali will remain shut from July 2 to 12; Mira-Bhayandar from July 1-10.

The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) and the Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation (KDMC) have re-imposed a total lockdown from July 2-12. Then Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (BMC) for its part has imposed a 10-day lockdown from July 1-10. The announcement came a day after Ajoy Mehta, now the Principal Advisor to C, empowered the collectors and municipal commissioners to impose local restrictions if cases rise.
