Metro-like orderly entry at six major Western line stns

Smart cards, Plastic coins may be used to gain access to Churchgate, Dadar, Bandra, Andheri, Borivali and Virar.

If things go as per plan, 2019 will see a lot better crowd control at six major stations on the Western Railway’s suburban network. The railway top brass wants Churchgate, Dadar, Bandra, Andheri, Borivali and Virar stations to adopt the Delhi Metro’s crowd management model, wherein commuters must queue up to enter the stations unlike Mumbai, Where a swarm of people are barging in and out of the stations even during the non-peak rush hours.
