Heaps of garbage to be cleared from Parsik Tunnel
The Central Railway has sought the help of Thane municipal corporation which has brought in a special garbage cleaning machine to clear
the heaps of garbage from nearby settlements at Parsik tunnel.
Mumbai divisional railway manager S K Jain had recently requested the TMC commissioner for joint visit of TMC officials alongwith Railway officers to clean the area
by October 2. The issue was also raised during meeting of railway minister Piyush Goyal with MPs, MLAs and MLCs of Thane area a couple of weeks back.
