Contracts expire, waste clearing in 3 suburbs may be hit

If the deadlock between the Shiv Sena-led standing committee and the civic administration is not resolved soon, Citizens in the eastern suburbs might end up bearing the brunt.

Crucial public contracts are already hanging fire. Now, garbage contractors for three wards-between Ghatkopar and Mulund-in the eastern suburbs have expressed reluctance to continue garbage collection as their contracts have expired.
