BMC sweetens tender norms to woo contractors for parking spaces
To attract bidders for its 31 street parking lots and four multi-storey public parking areas, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has sweetened the tender norms — from reduced rates to scrapping reservations to relaxed eligibility criteria — for them.
These multi-storey parking lots are in the suburbs, while the street parking lots are in south Mumbai, Chembur and Bandra.
Despite floating tenders for the above mentioned parking lots three times, the BMC has failed to find contractors.
