Wider Mulund-Thane bridge by May, says minister Eknath Shinde
Thane: Motorists making the daily trip from here to Mumbai and back have a better drive to look forward to in 2020 as the first phase of the Kopri bridge widening project is expected to be completed by May.
The announcement was made by urban development and home minister Eknath Shinde following a review meeting with MMRDA and railway officials. The widening of the four-lane bridge to create an eight-lane bridge has progressed much slower than office-goers’ expectations. The Rs 250-crore project has been in the news for inordinate delays.
