Two months later, Gateway e-toilets finally open
A day after a Mirror report on tourists urinating outside three shut e-toilets near Gateway of India, the BMC threw them open to the public on Thursday.
The toilets were installed in September, but their inauguration was held up as the septic tanks weren’t ready.
Kiran Dighavkar, assistant civic chief of Award, said, “The sewage line is very far away. We told the agency that set up the toilets to get the septic tanks in place. That has been done.”
