After successfully trackling flooding on Sion railway tracks, Central Railways to install six more heavy-duty pumps
Having successfully tackled flooding on railway tracks at Sion with the help of high capacity submersible water pumps during the monsoons last year, the Central Railway (CR) has decided to replicate the formula at other flood-prone areas on its route too.
These water pumps that have the capacity to pump 1,ooo cubic metre water per hour are instrumental in flushing out water during heavy rains so that train movement remains unaffected.
