40 clunkers removed from Juhu junkyard on Day 1; hundreds to go over the next few days.
The wheels are finally turning at the 18 junkyards where the BMC finally began the process of handing over abandoned vehicles to auctioneers on Monday. The Juhu municipal junkyard near JVPD market, off Cooper Hospital, measuring 70,000 sq ft (nearly 2 acres), is occupied by over 950 clunkers. Around 40 of them were removed on Day 1 and hundreds are expected to be removed over the next few days.
