Maharashtra: 146 kids found helmetless, 624 rickshaw drivers booked
Mumbai: The state transport department caught parents and relatives of 146 helmetless children across Maharashtra while going to school on a bike. Action was also taken against 624 auto drivers for illegally ferrying school children.
This is a part of a drive by50 RTOs, which registered 2,936 cases against buses, vans, cars, bikes and autos ferrying children illegally to school or compromising with their safety.
