Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation launches anti-khataara drive

The Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation has launched a drive to remove abandoned vehicles after the Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackeray, directed the newly appointed commissioner of the body, Vijay Suryavanshi, to spruce up the city.

Suryavanshi took over as commissioner in the last week of Janyary; Thackeray attended a function at KDMC on February 6. As per police estimates, there are more than 150 abandoned cars in the KDMC area, Suryavanshi told Mumbai Mirror. I have given clear directions that these need to be removed.
