Good news for motorists! BMC set to reverse Rs 10,000 fine for illegal car parking, to make formal announcement soon

According to a new formula being devised, the fine amount will be more than halved. Formal announcement likely today.

The BMC has conceded defeat in its battle with motorists over the Rs 10,000 a violation parking fine it recently introduced.

While a formal announcement is expected soon, Mumbai Mirror can reveal that the fine, termed draconian by residents penalised for parking cars on roads outside their houses, is likely to be more than halved.
