Election candidates must advertise their crime record in media: SC
In an unprecedented order, the Supreme Court on Tuesday directed that election candidates, after filing their nominations, should repeatedly make declarations in print and electronic media at the constituency level about any criminal antecedents even as it stopped short of debarring those charged with heinous crimes from contesting polls.
