To create safe environment, Central Railway to turn CSMT inta a no Crime, no begging and no hawking xone
Starting May 1, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) will be a no crime, no begging, no hawking station, as part of a Central Railway campaign to create model stations across the country. A UNESCO World Heritage site and the Central Railway’s headquarters. CSMT will be the first station in India to achieve the no crime, no begging, no hawking tag. Special teams are being put in place for 24×7 surveillance at the station premises, which will be monitored through CCTV Cameras, and plain-clothes railway police personnel cracking down on drug addicts and train bullies.
