BMC to staff: Seek nod of seniors to repair works under ‘warranty’

Every civic department, including roads, storm water drains and traffic, should forward its list of works under the defect liability period (DLP) to the assistant municipal commissioners of the respective ward. This is among the measures listed by the BMC’s internal vigilance team to plug loopholes in the system after foiling a bid to siphon off Rs 7.5 lakh of taxpayers’ funds to repair a well-laid footpath at Kherwadi in Khar (E).
