BMC diagnostic test scheme takes ill
The BMC has issued a show-cause notice to pathologival laboratory Thurocare Technologies Ltd for severe underperformance in the much-touted diagnostic test scheme ‘Aapli Chitkitsa’ for poor patients. According to the BMC, Thurocare had to conduct tests on 900 patients per day – which is 63,000 patients for around 70 days since the launch – but has completed only 10 per cent of its target.
