BMC couldn’t build 7 toilets a day. Now, it thinks it can do 34/day
In the past two years, the BMC has built less than half the toilets it had planned. The target was to construct 5,300 toilets from October 2016-September 2018. But so far, only 2,253 have been built. Not only has the BMC missed the deadline but has also proposed an infeasible promise: It wants to build the remaining toilets in three months.
