Best to get Rs 1,200 crore per year breather from new BMC chief
Mumbai: This might just be the beginning of the end of BEST’s woes. The BMC administration has taken an in-principle decision to give Rs 100 crore every month to the BEST undertaking’s Loss-making transport wing so that it is able to meet regular expenses. The condition is that it will adopt the measures that have been suggested by the BMC to cut losses, which are now Rs 81crore a month, not to mention hundreds of crores owed to financial institutions and private power generators/
