How Does a Citizen Facilitation Centre Work?

Citizen Facilitation Centres (CFCs) have been established in all the 24 Wards of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM), so as to give Civic Services to the Citizens quickly and easily. Citizen Facilitation Centres are situated on the ground floor of the Ward Office and are under the control of the Assistant Commissioner and the supervised by the Office Superintendent.

 

At the Citizens Facilitation Centres, one can apply for Birth Certificates, Death Certificates, and various types of licences such as Trade Licences, Hoarding and Advertising Permits, Permission for cutting and trimming of trees, registration of Shops & Establishments, and various others.

 

Complaints by citizens regarding civic facilities can also be lodged at the CFC.

 

Various payments can also be made through a“One Window System”. Payments can be made in cash or even by cheque for bills of all departments, such as charges for all types of licenses, deposits, charges for Mandap, permission and water charges, among others.

 

The timing of the Helpdesk in the CFC for submitting applications of Birth and Death Certificates and format A & B of Shops and Establishment Dept. is from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

 

In the CFC, official papers, letters, and references from the public and by documents received by post are received and acknowledged by the Dispatch Section. Their working hours are from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
