BMC’s out of ICU beds, aims to add 300 in 10 days
Anticipating a rise in critical Covid-19 patients, the BMC is set to increase the number of ICU beds by 300 in the coming 10 days, reports Richa Pinto
A Surge in cases is exppected from three northern wards-P North (Makad, Malwani), R North (Dahisar) and R South (Kandivli)- where the average case doubling rate is now 12-13 days, shows the BMC’s latest coronavirus update. Civic data shows 99% of the current 1,164 ICU beds are occupied.
