Operation Khataara: Here’s why you don’t have enough parking

BMC allows 799 abandoned vehicles to trespass its key pay and park spaces across the city; doesn’t seem to care about decongesting the roads or earning some revenue.

Hold your applause for the BMC’s crackdown on abandoned vehicles on city roads. The dead clunkers that are being towed away are only ending up encroaching the civic body’s precious ‘Pay and Park’ spaces which could otherwise generate revenue and resolve the issue of parking at many places.
