Plastic ban goes soft within a week
State government issues notification giving e-commerce companies three months for the shift; PET bottles allowed if they buyback, recycle and look for alternatives.
Following what sources said was intense lobbying by multinational companies and plastic industry, the state government has relaxed rules for single-use plastic ban just a week after threatening stringent enforcement. Not only will e-commerce companies be allowed to use plastic packaging for three more months, PET and PETE bottles used for packaged drinking water can also be sold.

Pls share how we should do packing for small items like incense dhoop cones and fragrance candles. If plastic boxes are only exempted for 3months. No one gives loose boxes We have to buy in bulk. If you let us know specifically the items do be banned we can concentrate and take proper decision of our small business .With no specifications we are actually stuck up. Do not know wheather boxes for packing will work for 3months or will be continued later on.
