Operation khataara: BMC to go after abandoned cars clogging streets
The menace of abandoned cars strewn across the city is set to be tackled by the BMC on a war footing soon. BMC chief Ajoy Mehta has told Mirror that the issue is a serious one and steps have been taken to make the process of removal of the vehicles smoother. On May 29, Mirror had reported on Operation Khataara, an initiative by residents of Thakur Village in Kandivali East, to rid their roads of abandoned cars.
