October hit: BMC to carry out repairs on roads from October 10; traffic to be affected at Nariman Point, Colaba and Churchgate

The work, spanning over 500 km, begins from Oct 10; “No irregularities” this time around, says BMC.

Half the city has been dug up for the Metro, and starting October 10, the BMC will launch its own digging that will span over 500 km to repair the roads. What this means is, your frustrating commute home from office/railway station/bus stop will increase by almost half-an-hour. If you’re planning to drive down to a mall or a restaurant during the weekends, brace for an even longer time on the road.
