Locals to start from Parel on March 3

Mumbai: Central Railway (CR) is likely to open Parel Terminus for suburban services on March 3. The authorities are planning to operate around 20 services from Parel in the Kalyan direction to reduce overcrowding at Dadar. CR’s divisional railway manager SK Jain confirmed the news. The terminus was necessitated because of a massive increase in footfall owing to Parel’s transformation from a mill area to an office hotspot.
