Ghatkopar road overbridge in Mumbai is overloaded, needs repairs soon
After Lower Parel’s Delisle Bridge and Andheri’s Gokhale Bridge, the road overbridge (RoB) at Ghatkopar might be the next to be closed down. The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-B) team that is auditing bridges on Mumbai’s suburban train network has pointed out that the the Ghatkopar RoB requires major repairs. Like Gokhale Bridge, the Ghatkopar RoB has cables and pipelines going through it as well as damage caused by seepage and erosion.
