Bridge across River Mithi stuck for lack of an NOC
BMC’s plan to build second arm of a bridge linking Kurla to Kalina in limbo for six months as traffic police drag their feet on clearance; motorists forced to use old, ‘unsafe’ structure.
It’s a case of a bridge too far for the BMC. The civic body’s plan to construct the second arm of a bridge over the Mithi River linking Kurla to Kalina has been stuck for six months because it lacks a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the traffic police. The bridge project was begun in 2012.
