BMC to ban fishing in Powai lake
After repeated complaints against fishing and in a bid to protect the crocodiles in its waters, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is set to ban fishing in the Powai lake.
The Maharashtra State Angling Association (MSAA) does fishing in the Powai lake as a sport. Earlier, there was a murder and MSAA guard Sohaib Khan was stabbed to death by some persons who had come for fishing and partying.
