Autos refuse to take short distance passengers

The Regional Transport Authority’s claims of a crackdown on autorickshaw drivers’ refusal to ply passengers have fallen flat.

A Mumbai Mirror Test Drive has revealed that drivers continue to refuse passengers outside railways stations.

While share-an-auto drivers ferry more than three passengers, violating rules, regular autorickshaws flatly refuse to ferry passengers if they are not on preferred or long-distance routes, forcing them to wait endlessly outside railway stations.
