124-ton additional load led to Andheri bridge collapse

Two weeks after the pedestrian portion of Gokhale bridge collapsed, killing a 35-year-old woman and injuring four others, the report of the commissioner of railway safety (CRS) has revealed how the railways and BMC played with the safety of citizens by compromising compromising on the bridge’s design load.
