How to get a Projection and Stall Boards License?

In view of provisions made under section 313(1)(b)(c) of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act, 1888, certain projections projected on a street are allowed to be attached to the premises on the ground floor of a building abutting on the Municipal street / footpath/ property.

The projections such as Over-hanging, Awning / Weather-frame is allowed with a view to have protections as a cover from the sun and rain while projections like stall boards / showcase for displaying goods sold by the shop also fall under this category.

Who issues a Projection and Stall Boards License?

  • The License Department of the MCGM issues a Projection and Stall Boards License

 

How to Apply for a Projection and Stall Boards License?

  • Visit the Citizen Facilitation Center (CFC) nearest to your established.
  • The applicant needs to submit the duly completed and signed application form, along with required documents and fees at the CFC.

 

What happens at the CFC?

  • The application is sent from the CFC to the License Department
  • As a further process the application is assigned to and processed by Department Head (Sr. Inspector License) of the License Department at the concerned Ward.
  • After site inspection and approval of the application, the scheduled fees are collected and the license is issued to the applicant.
