MRS. INDRANI MALKANI

Formerly from a corporate background as the Conventions and Conferences Manager for the Taj Palace Hotel, Delhi, she is now associated in voluntary work with the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM), the Mumbai Police particularly with the Traffic Department as well as the Election Commission of India in Mumbai.
One of her most successful projects was to conceptualize and implement the Model School Bus Service, for the safe and secure transportation of school children. This safe and efficient system was accepted as a model on which the State of Maharashtra has based its Policy of Transportation of School Children. She is a Member of the Government Committee which formed this Policy and is now implementing the said Policy.

Apart from being a Member of the High Court Appointed Monitoring Committee for the Girgaum Chowpatty Beach, she is a Sitting Panel Member in the Lok Adalat of the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Maharashtra and a Member of the State Committee on Electoral Literacy.

She is also a Member of the Internal Complaints Committees for Sexual Harassment of Women in multiple Companies.

She is an Ashoka Fellow.

 

MR. V. RANGANATHAN IAS (Retd.)

He is a retired Civil Servant from the IAS cadre with decades of distinguished service at senior levels in the State and Central Governments. Among other posts, he has served as the Municipal Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai and as the Chief Secretary to the Government of Maharashtra. He devotes his time to various social organizations. Among other things, he advises several other prestigious Trusts. He is also the former Chairman of the Mumbai Heritage Conservation Committee.

 

MR. RAJAN M. JAYAKAR

He is an eminent Solicitor and Advocate handling Public Interest Litigation involving social causes, heritage and environmental issues etc. A renowned collector and historian with a focus on Mumbai’s urban heritage, he is also Trustee of Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum, and the Curator of the Bombay High Court Exhibition, amongst other appointments. His expertise lies in respect of Mumbai’s urban heritage and legal acumen.

 

CAPT. SOHRAB S. KAPADIA

He has served in the Merchant Marine Service and came ashore after serving as ship’s Captain. He founded and headed a commercial shipping venture which handled vessels of foreign principals calling at Indian ports. He is a Trustee and the former President of the Royal Bombay Yacht Club. Also, he is a Trustee of the Sea Cadets Council, which is involved in social upliftment and youth development movement. He is an Honorary Captain in the Sea Cadet Corp. In addition, he is a member of the Association for the Welfare of the Mentally Handicapped (AWMH) in Maharashtra. He has enormous administrative and youth motivational skills.

 

CAPT. ASHOK H. MALKANI

He has a maritime background and has sailed as a ship’s Captain on overseas international trades. He has shore-based experience as the President of several companies, providing shipping and logistics support services to international carriers at all Indian ports. He has, in his personal capacity, volunteered for various activities of the Trust. Also, he has contributed to the compilation of the MCGM Book “Community Resiliency Indicators” which is part of the Disaster Risk Management Master Plan of Mumbai. He has enormous experience in logistics, fire safety, and people management.

 

Mr. Deb A. Mukherjee

He is the Immediate Past President of Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and has been a corporate entrepreneur for over 40 years. He was the Executive Chairman of Eaga Energy India Pvt Ltd (subsidiary of Eaga plc UK FTSE 250) until 2016. Currently he is the Managing Director of Cenergist Energy Pvt Ltd (wholly owned subsidiary of Eneraqua Technologies plc UK). He has served on various Trade Bodies and is a frequent speaker at national and international fora. He was the recipient of WWF Climate Solver Award.
