Vidhan Sabha Elections 2014 on 15th October!

Post the Lok Sabha Election, we now have a stable Central Government. It is now the time for Maharashtra, come 15th October 2014.

We need to have such a Government in Maharashtra, which will ensure that the State can truly live up to its name and its capital Mumbai, be a mega city we can all be proud of.

For this to be a reality, We the Voters Have to Vote!

For many decades, there has been a common refrain, Mumbai has a rather poor showing where voting is concerned.  But in the recently held Lok Sabha Elections, We, the Voters of Mumbai, proved it wrong! Mumbai recorded a respectable voting percentage!

The run up to this Vidhan Sabha Elections has been a huge roller coaster – full of emotions and many political realignments with the breakup of alliances. It is so true that in India we have a most vibrant democracy, which is very visible in these Elections. The Voters today are spoilt for choices with the sheer number of candidates in each of the constituencies!

Whereas in all constituencies there are record number of Candidates, Malabar Hill Vidhan Sabha Constituency has the highest number – 23 candidates!!

We the Voters, cannot show apathy towards the system of administration, criticising actions and inaction on the part of the administration and throw up our hands.

We the Voters, have an Obligation and Responsibility to cast our ballots ethically, to make a Difference, and show WE CARE.

I quote the fervent Appeal by our Chief Electoral Officer, Maharashtra State
